Joanne Middleton (AIDTA)

Principle

Jo Middleton was a pupil at The School between 1982 & 1989 then at 16 she went on to train at the highly acclaimed Laine Theatre Arts. After completing a 3 year professional dance and teaching course she went on to have a successful career as a performer which took her all over the world where her main expertise was in theatre, television and cabaret.

She began her teaching career in 1999 training children of all ages , many former students are now attending prestigious schools such as the Royal Ballet School or have gone on to have professional performing careers in the west end.

In June 2011 she was fortunate to be given the opportunity to return to the Knaresborough and Harrogate Dance Centre as Principle and made the decision to rebrand the school Danceworx.

Angela Yanac (AISTD)

Teacher

Angela trained at Stella Mann performance college, after completing her 3 years training Angela went on to have a successful career performing all over Europe and the UK in theatre and cabaret.

Angela has been teaching for many years and has vast experience with regard to the technical aspects of dance.

Angela runs classes at Ashville College and Highfield Prep School.
